Anybody know what a roost boost is??

What is this thing? Some type of old timing advance? Should I take it off or just leave it on there? It always ran fine and I guess it's been on there since before I got the thing 5 yrs ago. Does it even do anything? Thanks guys

I believe it is an old electrical "booster" of the sorts to increase your spark. Those things are pretty old.

Yes, they are pretty old. The Answer Roost Boost was a plug in electrical booster to increase spark.

You guys think I should leave it on there? It ran good before so I think I will just leave it alone and see how it does. I don't think its hurting anything by being on there. Anybody know when they quit making these things? It must be 20 yrs old or something. Do you still use that thing #34, or did you just have it laying around?

its just a nother thing to take up un needed space. i am almost positive that i would make my go kart run good its made of cardboard boxes and run on hopes and dreams. any way they are as good as a paper weight that all i am say n.

My wiring harness came with one when I got it, I took it off since I wasnt running lights on my R. I think its underneath the carport somewheres now
