battery question

I would like to apologize ahead of time if this has already been asked, but I searched and didn't find the answer I was looking for. I started my quad last night and loaded it in the truck. When I pulled it out of the truck and tried to start it all it would do was click. I didn't have any choice so I pushed it and got it started that way and figured tonight I would mess with it. I pulled out my manuel and tried to do what it said in the trouble shoot section. Finally I tried jumping it and got nothing. What is the cause of this and what is it that I can do? Do I need a new battery or is it something else? Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Make sure all wires are tight and that your battery is fully charged

Sounds like you need a new battery or put the one you have on a charger and see if that works.

if the battery is dead it wont start even if I jump it?

I finally found the problem. The wire that connects to the started is loose and takes a little wiggling to get it to fire right up. I'm just thankful it wasn't anymore money into it right now. Thanks for your help
