300 smellin bad

i changed the oil in my 300 bkuz its gettin cold out and my dealer recomended 0w30. thats wut i bought and put it in, i also changed my oil filter. when i tried to start it my battery died ( i left the key on). so i just said "**** it" and today i went out and bomb started it and it was runnin horrible:confused: like it didnt idle very well and it was smokin a bit more than usual. i didnt let it run very long bkuz i thought sumthin was wrong. can anyone tell me wuts wrong.

man I hope you did not put the oil filter in backwards check, no oil pressure?

i know i put it in the rite way, but i just went out and started it again and its runnin better than usual and no smoke:huh im very confused

When you changed the grade of oil did you ****ch brands? I'm not sure on quads(because I'v always ran the same brand) but I know that sometimes if you switch the brand of oil in a car that it will smoke. You may want to check your oil filter like already suggested.

maybe you valve guide seals may be starting to go? my olds 350 x used to always burn a little till it got warm got

When my 400Ex smells bad I normall check the tires for Dog *****.:devil :devil


No seriously tho. I put my oil filter in backwards once and My 400Ex acting weird for a while after i put it in teh right way.

When my oil filter was in backwards it was only run for about 5-10 mins then i found out what I did.
