im in the middle of racing out my 400 and ive came up a little short on cash for a rear shock do you think the 450r rear shock would be good enough to hold me off till i get something new...anyone that has that in their setup would help or anything thank you ?

Yes, they do make a good difference. I had one on my 400ex and was way better than my stock one.

I acually have one for sale. If your interested. It's valved for mx...180-200 pound rider. It was painted red and black. And was polished(as you can see in the picture). Its brand new, only one ride on it. I'll sell it to you for 165 shipped.

idk i actually had one on mine for a while and i thought it was terrible compared to stock .. i think it sits lower and not much travel

450r and 400ex rear shock are essentially the same thing made for different bikes. The R shock is alittle shorter and valved for the 450. In stock form will actually handle worse than the stock ex shock.
It is a waste of money, just send out the stocker for a rebuild/valve or buy a used ex shock.
