I am fixing up a 68' mustang and am looking for some ideas as to what color would look best. if someone could photoshop a few different colors onto it that would help alot with the decision.

this is the only picture that I have of it on my comp. here is a link to it I can't get it to load directly for some reason.

Yep. Black is the only way I would go on a 68. Too many red ones already.

IMO the current color is pretty sick.

either black, VERY dark blue, or VERY dark purple.

my problem is finding what color to use that hasn't been overused on these cars. What I was thinking about doing is going with a Dark metalic blue with metal flaking. or just repainting it the same color. could someone photoshop it dark metalic blue to give me a better idea of what it would look like that way.

Iliketogofast is right, that smoke gray or whatever color it is, is smoking! I'd keep it that color, besides it's a good color that doesn't show dirt well, although I'm sure you'll keep it clean.

If you really want to change it though a matt color would be cool, gray or black still but sometimes color ruins stuff.

the dark metallic with metal flake would look bad as$ with some white racing stripes

matte black looks cool on most things, but IMO it just doesn't turn heads like a nice metallic with metal flake does.

More or less what kinda look are you going for a retro custom look or a classic look that has a lot of factors cause i do custom paint and can throw out alotta crazy ideas.

On the other hand, as the other guys suggested, a nice supple matte black would be cool. But that isn't for everybody.
