Good Laptop

My brother is in the Airforce and is wanting a laptop. Not sure what all he would be using it for but I would guess alittle bit of everything. What is a good laptop for around $1000-1500?

I'm a huge mac enthusiast so I would suggest a Macbook. I will probably get the Microsoft individuals in an uproar over this but I did come from a PC for about eight years and switched to Mac this year and have not ever thought of going back. I actually bought two of them within 3 months.

Overall, a Mac feels and looks way better. If worst comes to worst you can run your copy of XP on the mac too!

Ive been looking in consumer reports and see that the 3 macs in the list are $1300,$2000,and $2800.

Right now im thinking about the HP pavillion dvc2500t its $1090 scored well and has memory card reader.firewall port,remote control,built in webcam,built in microphone,fingerprint reader and docking port.

I bought a macbook a couple months ago. No regrets. Picks up any wireless network around you. Has a built in camera if you want to video chat with other people. Itunes, photos, all the bells and whistles. One thing it doesn't have is any type of word processor. You would have to buy that extra, I just haven't done it yet. I just mainly use mine for internet, music, and photos. All around, it is a good laptop and would suggest it to anyone.

i have an hp compaq 6715b got it for 900 (thats after warranty and other little stuff) i have some movies,aim,yahoo,itunes with 600 some songs and have 400photos and it runs great another realy nice thing is the 15in widescreen great for movies or pics
