There are some trails off of 51 by Community Beach Rd in Central City. I see them when I go to my parents house off Racoon Lake.

I've been to Coulterville 3 times and can ride through their main trail in less than 10 minutes. But they have a ton of other trails that take you everywhere. There is only 10 miles of trails. I just enjoy spending the riding time with my buddies.

Here is a good site for riding areas in our area of southern IL.

St.Joe's is huge!! But with a bigger park you get a large variety of riders out there.

Rockport Off Road Park in Rockport, IL. has been closed to ATV's for a couple of years now. : (
If you like trail riding there are a couple of small town's in northeasteren Mo. they have fund raiser trail rides. The procedes are for the small town's Volunteer Fire Departments as they get no tax money to operate on.
The first one is June 14, 2008. 8 miles west of Canton, Mo. on hwy 16.
The second one is June 28 at Williamstown, Mo. I believe it is $20.00 per ATV. No side by sides on the first one due to narrow bridges. Must be under 55" wide.
Also there is a farmer in Loraine, IL that lets ATV's ride on his farm for $15.00 per ATV.

What do you consider "near" st. louis?

St. Joe is about 45 minutes from there.. We camp/ride at Suttons bluff a lot... that is about 10 minutes from Johnson Shut ins... we just spent the weekend down at bricks 4x4 farm.... it is a few hours south of S.t louis in Poplar Bluff.....
