My point and shoot digi cam died and for its replacement I have been looking at getting a digital SLR.

I currently have Minolta SLR gear, so buying the relatively new Sony/Konica-Minolta gear looks intriguing for getting in a little cheaper. I can't seem to find much online about them and I know most people swear by Canon and Nikon when it comes to D-SLR's.

Thoughts or advise?

I have a Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D..Awesome camera...Dont know what they have now though since sony bought them out....Really nice feature of this camera is it has the anti-shake technology built into the camera, so you don't have to spend the big bucks to get lenses with it.........The old 35mm auto-focus Minolta lenses work on it too..

They seem to be fairly new on the market, so opinions may be hard to come by.

The image stabilization in the body seems really cool. And the prices are pretty comparable with similar Canon products
