need more air

well i just traded motors with another bike and its a 416 stroker motor it came with a fcr carb. Its running a 175 main jet and im going to need more air. so i was thinking that i could run my airbox without the lid? but my only thing is that since i ride and race xc would all the mad and crap get down in there and clog it up? any ideas of what i could do?

i was thinking about something like that but will it still let it breathe good without getting filthy?

K&N powerlid will basically be the same air flow as no air box lid, but will filter about 25%-50% more dirt out of the air.
