wiseco 11:1 piston

my valves are hitting the piston and the spark plug as well...the cylinder deck was faced...could this be causing my problem?

also which way do the wiseco pistons go in...does the arrow go to the intake or exhaust side?

the arrow points towards the exhaust, make sure its that way, if not the relief cuts in the piston will not align with the intended valves and could cause you clearance issues.

ok now i got this all done...its working fine its not hitting anymore...

but it wont fire...i have spark and i have fuel...and no fire...this piston is used it came with the cylinder and was said to have only 8-10 hours on it.

I did a compression test...it read 75...now that isnt enough is it?

low compression has nothing to do with no fire

is your timing correct?

it could be my timing i guess but im pretty sure i got it right

when i had the head off and had the piston at TDC the piston is like a 1/2" down from the top of the cylinder. Is this normal?

thats low make sure you did it right. I made a mistake the 1st time I did my 400ex all stock and I got 85PSI I said time for a rebuild thent he next day I realized what I did wrong. You have to take off your air filter and have the throttle wide open so they dont restrict it. Then I got 110PSI. Big difference over something small. Liek I said mae sure you warm it up really good if you can then take off the air filter and hold the throttle all the way down and crank it over.

sorry i mis read you have spark and fuel but no fire yea check timing and valve clearence and also check the little things like kill switch

i'm not sure what you mean when you say you have spark and fuel but no fire. does that mean the engine turns when u press the starter but it will not run? i would double check your timing and check your spark plug gap.

i got it she runs great now...when i put the fly wheel on after removing the sparks key...i didnt get it on right lol...my piston was off which caused my timing to be off...now i have 120 psi compression :)

ill let you guys know how she runs when i get to open her up
