'06 450r tanny into a '05???

I have a '06 450r that i have had to many tranny problems with. First it was a shifter drum. Now something happened today but i havent torn the engine down yet. Today it was slipping into "false neutrals" like it has since i got it which i hate. Then it got stuck in neutral and wouldnt shift out. The shifter would move up and down but nothing would happen.

Anyways i know that Joe Byrd puts '05 tranny's in his race quads, and i was wondering if anyone else did this or knew anything about it. Or if you had another solution to my problem.

I'm pretty sure Byrd runs an entire 05 engine/bike.

I think it's literately impossible to put an 05 tranny in an 06 bike. They are totally different.
Correct me if I'm wrong though =)

Contact Toby @ motoxperts, he has a fix for this, but it's not an 05 tranny.
