i just opened the new e-series and went to put it on and when i set it into the header, there was a big gap........the manual says something about the stock asbestos gasket, is that supposed to be on the heade, cause mine is on the inside of my stock silencer, can i even get a new one??and it mentions something about a exhaust port gasket, what is that?
Thanks

It sounds as if you are not slipping the pipe on far enough. The raised metal rib goes inside the new silencer. It sounds as if you are not pushing it on far enough.

When in doubt use a hammer!! :)

yes you can get a new gasket thru honda, will your's not come out of your pipe, most honda dealers won't have it in stock so you will have to wait unless you get the other out

Not all aftermarket silencers use the oem pipe gasket, and it doesnt even fit sometimes.

i had the same problem. i got my qaud use and by the looks i thought it just had an aftermarket silencer(fmf). though when i put this silencer on i noticed my headpipe was way longer then a stock one should have been and it was reall small. well first thing i did was cut the headpipe to the right lenght then i cut off two lenghts of the cut heappipe about the size of the splined section. then i made a slit down each cut off so spread them.. i slid them over the pipe with the slits 180 degrees off and then tightned down that nifty lock. works pretty good, though sice it was some unknownheader it weas not the right something or other and i had to make a custom exhaust hanger to mount off my grab bar mounts.. just a thought it works well but i am gonna be orderin my wb heapipe soon l,atewr
