Good trade?

I have a stereo system (MTX) that I posted on Craigslist for sale or trade for a dirtbike or pitbike and someone said they had an "80s YZ125" they would trade me. My question is, has anyone here had any experience with an 80s YZ and what they though. My stereo cost about $2000 new and I was going to sell it for $500 or just take a trade. What do you guys think. I am thinking I should just sell it and find a nice dirt/pitbike to buy with the money.

My buddy has an 88 yz125 he bought for 500, and he said it was an awesome deal. It is really what ever you think. But it all depends on the condition. Check it over real good, and maybe twice just since of its age, then it being a 2stroke. Also, I would pull the head off and look at the cylinder and pistion before you buy. But like I said, it iswhat ever you think!

Yeah I am beginning to think that I should just sell everything separately and find a newer 125 or 250 for $500-800.
