whats "gmail"?

i put some stuff up for sale on another site (nuttin atv related) and anyway i got like 4 or 5 responses form people with a gmail address so i curiously looked it up and found out its some kind of google rmail and seems pretty cool, with less spam and such, does anyone have it? should i sign for it since its free and all or is it all tyhe same?

I have it and really like it. The only better e-mail for spam blocking was my school e-mail but gmail is really good at it too. Gmail used to be invite only but now anyone can sign up.

i have gmail and love it, i even linked it to my school email so i only have to check one email, its pretty sweet imo.

ok thanks guys, i just said what the he** and signed up but one quick question (then ill delete this so it dont waste space), how can you tell if your writing an email with it? i just tried to write one and my aol email screen kept popped up, what am i missing?
