2006 trx450er with a lrd pipe jetted at 180 and a knk filter.

My 450 ill not start from the button. i can roll it down a hill and dump the clutch and it runs great but if i kill it the electric start wont kick it back on. the battery is charged, new sparkplug, i got the starter clutch recall done months ago, and its turning the engine but it will not start it. im getting fuel and spark. Can anyone give me an idea of what might be wrong with my 450?

Thanks,

Mr. Powers

First of all try a smaller jet like a 160 to 165 for one and two have you ever adjusted the valves? might check them that could cause your problem.

lrd said to use a 160 jet but it wasnt running right so we went bigger, i had the valves adjusted about 10 hours ago (riding time) but ill def check those things first, think i might need new valves? my quad has 80 hours on it

Forget your main jet. You should be starting your quad at zero throttle, your main jet has no effect.

What's your pilot jet? What's your air screw set at?

I realize his main has nothing to do with starting but it is a little overkill for a 06 thats why i suggested valve clearance.
