Any one know where i can get a Sprocket kit for the outlaw? I just want to drop the amount of teeth. I don't need the top end so much but a little more low end would be great!

I bought a 13 tooth KTM oem one today. I put it on but have not ran it yet. I will give you more feed back sunday (I do 99% trail riding). I did notice when tightening the chain It was almost all the way adjusted out with about 1" slack so not much adjustment left. Should I take a link out?

I have been doing a lot of jumping lately and i noticed that my chain has needed a couple of adjusments to tighten it up. If it is already all the way out i would tighten it up. Deffinitly let me know how it is. I am hoping i get a lot more bottom end and that having a smaller tooth makes it easier to ride in the technical stuff.

I picked up a "Primary Drive" brand one from RMATV for $7. It was for the KTM 525 bike and was also a 15 tooth but I am sure they have 13 tooth fronts for the same price! It worked out really well for my trip to the dunes!

Oh and TRENT G if you get a bigger rear sprocket too you wont have to shorten the chain. It all equals out.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. For anyone that may need alittle help. When changing front sprocket out. Sit on bike push on rear brake with right leg and loosen sprocket bolt counter clockwise. Don't loosen too much just brake the bolt loose, they use locktite so it takes a little muscle. Now that you have it broken loose STOP, get off the bike and loosen chain from rear (3 bolts). If you continue to loosen while chain is tight it may ruin the threads. Now finish taking off sprocket with rear brake pressed. Watch how the sprocket comes off because you can get it turned around. Put new sprocket on (with reverse instructions) to specs, use locktite. Tighten chain and your done. This takes about 20-30 min. Now for the results I do about 99% trail riding so this made for a very nice inexpensive mod. It lowered the gearing just enough to get rid of the bog when taking off. I ride with my kids so regearing got rid of the 1st gear reving too high and second bog. Noticable on the trails coming out of tight turns. I did a hill climb this weekend hit the gas and it ripped the bar right out of my one of my hands. I was not expecting the low end power difference. Overall very happy. Hope this helps.

so lets make this clear all you did was change the front to a 13 ,
nothing with the back?
did you have to shorten the chain?
I ride the same stuff, so you recommend this ?

Chris525, Yes all I did was change the front sprocket to a 13 tooth. I feel it would be better to take a link out (chain is adjusted all the way out). but you do not have to unless your chain is stretched more than mine was? No, I did not change out my rear sprocket. I think this would be too low of gearing for most wood's/trail riding. YES i would recomend it.
