if you want the more horsepower its worth the money, sparks has one of the best pipes out there. just look at the size of those damn headers on that pipe! plus they are loud and sound nice!

The X-6 is awesome. It isn't annoyingly loud, but it's got a nice deep sound to it. Very high quality pipe, I would recommend it over anything else out there.

You think it is annoying. But IMO I think it the white bros is annoying. That has teh stupidest sounds purr ever. It has no snap to it what so ever.

My Sparks pipe is a force to be reckoned with. It sounds sweet and where ever I go all i hear is how sweet it sounds.

And then White Bros Vs. Sparks X-6

They can;t even begin to be compared. Sparks is an Engine builders pipe #1 and #2 it give so much more power and #3 sounds 10x better.

Is the sparks x-6 96 db or under with the spark arrestor on? As on the beginning of next year the place i ride is going to be enforcing a 96 db noise limit and i don't want to be getting tickets but I would like a loud and powerfull pipe for pismo too. If it isn't what pipe should i go with? I read somewhere that the DMC alien pipe was only 93 db with the spark arrestor on and i kinda like that one. Can anyone confirm this for sure?

As far as I know, there isn't a spark arrestor or quiet core you can put in the X-6. I'm sure it is over 96db's though. It's more of a closed course MX pipe than a trail pipe.

I do know someone with a x-6 and he has a spark arrestor cap on his. By the way i wanted to add that I plan on getting a 416 bore kit next year so whatever i get now i want it do be able to handle the 416 as well.

I've never heard of a spark arrestor cap for an X-6, but if you know someone who has one, then there must be one. The X-6 will handle whatever you build your motor to, 416, 440, 505, whatever, it can handle it. It just that if sounds an issue, you may want to look at a quieter pipe, like FMF's new Q series pipes.

Graydon Proline pipe for the ex is very, veRY, VERY sweet also. I believe that the Proline, Sparks, and LRD all bear striking similarities.

ya, the sparks pipe now has a spark arrester version. it is in the 540 $ range i think.
