no one seems to be replying to the 450r carb threads and i need answers quick

i have a 450r carb on my 440 mods in sig, im running a 50 pilot jet and 185 main

it runs super strong through RPMs but at idle it doesnt idle very well, and it backfires through the carb (and pops in the exhaust)

what do i put the A/F at? i cant adjust the damn thing cause it will be idling and then backfire through the carb and it moves throwing me off the screw (anyone who did this mod knows how hard it is)

also, would a 48 pilot help this?

In order to really help, we need to know where the fuel screw is. How many turns from lightly seated is it?

If it is 3+ turns out, then bump the pilot up to a 52.

Lets start there..

it was running good at 1.5-2 turns out, but it still did it alittle...

we put it at 2.5 turns out and put in a 48 pilot and were trying that now

well keep you posted

well we tried that, and it runs really good

no backfiring, idles good, starts up easy and runs good through the rpm's.

hopefully itll sell tommorow:p

hmm, just wondering...how much did you sell it for?

Oh and are you going to WaldenMX tomorrow, with like another bike or something?
