KFX400 vs 400ex???

There is a Kid at my school that says he would woop my but in a drag. I have a 2005 Honda 400ex with tc racing exhaust,motosport nerf bars,uni airfilter,rpm extended +2-+4 axlem,18in. kenda klaw rears on itp sport,c-series black rims,and 20 in. kenda klaw fronts on itp
sport c-series black rims,pro taper black contour bars on high rise clamps
His Kfx400 has fmf exhaust and a K&N

Who do you guys think will win?

Whoever is the better rider. It would be pretty close machine wise, so it will be the rider that makes the difference.

Probably the kid on the KFX. His confidence level is alot higher than yours. Just go race and see what happens. He cant take your birthday away or nothing. :D

I am a better rider than he is, I have 20in. tires too but I didnt think it made that much of a difference.

he has more top end than you... you have more tourqe with the smaller tires. i dont get why everybody is do bent on being the fastest in a stright line.:ermm:

if your that confident that your THAT MUCH of a better rider then he is, then you should be able to beat him even if he was on a 450. period, end of story. it boils down to the rider. do a search, this thread has been covered 93248209348029430 times!!

and having 18in tires is like gearing down.

Unless ur racing on pavement the 18's will murder u in a drag race.

On the MX track pretty sure the 400ex will do better. Equal riders of course, but in a drag thats a though call. 18" tires give you alot of snap and torque but you will find yourself on the rev limiter much quicker and he will pass you if he has 20" rears.

anyways, back onto topic. they are both about equal quads. stock for stock, the z is just a FEW mph faster, but they come out about even with the same mods. they both have their advantages and disadvantages. they are both good machines, but the Z is just a tad bit more up to date. both great, nonetheless. its gonna come down to who's a better rider. race 'em on a track and see who's the real pro! :D

Well racing on the track wouldnt be real even, I would crush him because I have been racing for quite a few years and I doubt he has even touched a track.

ill drag race him on his kfx and ill stomp him pretty good. but the kfx might beat u by a length and thats it....bore your 400ex out and ull take him

Sticking with the honda but would trade with yamaha or suzuki. Also had an offer on a cannondale. But I have quite a few guys interested.
