would jets be the same - hrc or Curtis Pipe?

The hrc is on my 07 now. Wondering if I could bolt on the pipes w/o doing any rejetting?

nope you will need to increase jets. I got an 05 with HRC and it ran fine with HRC jets then i put on sparks and it went up quite a bit.

ok, ill have to ck & see whats in there. I do have the jetsfrom when it was in my 04. the 04 motor blew so I took it off. Now I thought about puttin it on the 07.

i believe the jets are different between the 04 and 07 one carb uses alot smaller jets but cant remember which one

In 04 and 05 the carb was a keihn, but it wasn't a an FCR so the jets could be different sizes. They should'nt be though.

im going to take a wild guess to put you in ball park. You should be at about 3rd or 4th clip on needle, 170-180 main, I know you have to up the slow jet too but i forget, ill call my bro and see what he has in his

Keep the HRC jetting in to test it, it'll prolly be really close if not the same.
If anything you might need to bump the pilot up one size.

When most people pipe 06-08 bikes, what they use is HRC jetting most of the time.
And a 45 pilot.

when it was on the 04 ,I think the main was 180 or 185.

the main will be in the 170's, you gotta remember, the 04-05 carbs didnt have a leak jet. the 06+ FCR does so it doesnt require as big of a main. My bros is a 172 main, 48 slow and the stock leak , needle on 3rd clip. so anyway, good luck and hope ya get it running good.

Thanx, I'll see what I got in the shop for jets. Meanwhile I'm gonna trail ride before I change anything, Then its off to Breezewood for the Holiday. Can't wait to burn up $200 WORTH OF FUEL ROUND TRIP:(
