i blew up my spare 450r, idk what happened but it just seized, i have the 4 yr wrnty on it so hopefully no cash will be taking from my wallet.

Good luck with that. Honda extended warranty sucks. If they take care of it I will be very surprised. Keep us updated.

yeah when i take it to the dealer im telling them not to tear it down further that they have to, because the if the warranty doesnt cover it ill do it myself. If the piston jug are trashed ill order some some stuff from service honda,

My friend brought his to our local Honda dealer. It had a streched timing chain. They charged him $200 for tear down and didn't warranty anything. Make sure you tell them you're not paying for anything.

Make sure all engine components are BONE STOCK when you bring it in.

Not even an aftermarket air filter or oil filter, exhaust anything.
They can void it for the littlest thing.

well this one is a stocker, it doesnt have anything aftermarket so i wont be worried bout that.

im taking it to cernics, about a hour from my house, and they treated my good before and replaced my carrier, bearings, axle, and my brake hub all under warranty, so hopefully this will be the same. i think we are taking it up early next week, but idk its whenever my ol man has time. now i really need to get mine running because i cant ride at all now. :(

soon as chad gets his pistons from cp and they get shipped to me i will be roaring again, my quad hasnt ran since September, lol.
but it will hopfully be running in a week or two.

well, i finally took my other quad in to cernics about 2 weeks ago, and it was the crank bearings, it caused the piston skirt to break, and scratched the cylinder. he tore it down, and called honda, and they are warranting it all!!! so he has parts on order now.

when i burned up my 05' i took it in and it cost $400 for the tear down and that didnt include them puttin it all back together:mad:

wow, your dealer's prices are outrageous, cernics told me 168 dollars for a topend tare down, if it wasnt covered i would tell them to put it in a box for me. and i would do the rebuild on it.
