yep the post above me is correct. there is a special kind made for gas tanks. u should be able to find it at your local auto parts store. i know napa auto parts carried it when i worked there. but we didnt keep to many of them in stock so ya might have to go up there and order. but that will only take 1-2 days to come in. but they should have it in stock.

also a customer that came in while another customer was in there lookin for somethin to clean up the crack on his gas tank, he said gorilla glue works REALLY well on gas tanks. suppose to be jus as good as the jb weld. worth givin it a try.

Was at the track last Saturday. A guy had a 2006 Suzuki LTR450. The metal oil line (either the line in or out) in the side of the engine case was cracked at least 1/2 way around. Oil was dripping like crazy out the split. We turned his quad up on the side so the oil would stop pouring out. Cleaned up the oil off the outside of the line and the put JB Weld on it in two batches. It was amazing. It held for the rest of the day.

Personally, I would have been too scared to try this for fear of burning up the engine should all the oil leak out when I was doing laps on the track. He was a crazy rider on the track so that pretty much explains his doing this too. :eek2:

I have to give mad props to the JB Weld though.
