Name that CDI??

When i got my 400ex it came with these two CDI's, dont know witch one is stock and witch one isnt, what is the other one and is it any good??

I would say the one with "HN1" stamped on it is probably a Honda box, due to the fact that many of their part numbers consist of an "HN1" as the middle three digets. I don't have a clue about the other one though.

Here is the one on the right, it's aftermarket, but you'll need a translator to figure out what the hell it is!!!

plug in the af one and see how it compares to stock
it might be just as good as the rest of af cdi's

I have ran the af one and no noticable diff. I thought that the aftermarket ones would let you rev till it blows it still hits the rev limit at about the same time and cuts out super fast in second gear, i need to change my gearing too it is 13-38 on 20" Razr's so it hits the rev faster then average but I really didnt feal a differance between the two. Will a good af CDI really make that noticable diff?

You can notic e some gains with a rev box exspeciallt if you out your gearing down to 13 . I have 2 for sale both are dyna one gives you an extra 1000 rpms havent used it but for like 10 minutes of ride time paid 110 for it will take 50 shipped the other is a dyna programmable cdi and you will notice a big gain with this you can set rpms at whatever you want them at . i paid right at 300 for it and its still new in the box and i would take 200 shipped for it let me know if your interested in either of them
