The stock pilot jet is a 38, try putting a 40 or 42 in it. It should start alot easier. You could also remove your choke at the same time for a little bit better throttle response. Just pump the throttle a few times and w/ the 42 pilot it will start right up.

Does anyone know why my posts keep going to the top of the thread???

I've got a 00' 400ex that is stock except for a K & N air filter and Dynojet jet kit. The problem I'm having is when it gets colder, the quad likes to cutout when its first started. I have to choke it at full choke for quite a while, then it's fine when its warmed up. Sounds like it's a little lean on the pilot jet or air mix screw setting. Should I change the pilot jet, or just adjust air mix screw? It runs fine in warmer temps like during the summer.

Thanks for the help,
