hey. do any of you guys have trouble starting your yfz in gear? i have an 04 and 06. my 06 is hard to start in gear. the 04 starts great though. im on my 3rd clutch in the 06. it makes me mad in the middle of a race having to shift to neutral to start it. its because my clutch is dragging but i dont know y it is. any ideas?
the clutch is all stock except for the springs, i have 3 15% stiffer and 3 stock, all alternated and an easy pull clutch arm made by PEP. would the clutch basket cause it or warped metal plates? thanks for the help.

It sounds like you put the PEP arm on 1 tooth off. I've seen this mistake happen before.

i put it as far back as it would go. it touhes my case saver now. i will try to modify it a little bit and try it that way. thanks for the info though, i would have never thought about that.

i agree, most are. My 04 starts about the same in gear or not. its the best starting yfz i have even seen. my 06 on the other hand is no where close. i can deal with being a little hard to start but having to shift to neutral to start is absurd.

im gonna swap the complete clutch out my 04 and see if that makes any difference b/c i think my clutch is grabbing just a little causing it not to start good. It always seems to do it at the worst time during a race.
