View Full Version : Edelbrok carb

Well my edelbrock carb is making my throttle stick and its not the cable, i keep trying to adjust it but nothing helps, im getting really mad at this thing. Does anybody know what i should do.

My buddy has one and at first hated it, not he loves it. He's had it for about a two years. I'll ask him.

I had the same issue with the Eichner carb. There were a few mods to the stock throttle housing that had to be made (grinding to the stops so the slide could completely open) I wonder if that might be the cause. I found that the cable right where it screws into the throttle (handlebars) would rub on the inside wall causing it to stick and wear out quickly. Not fun when your throttle sticks> I shot cable lube down there and adjusted it so it did not touch the wall. The problem is not at the carb it is at your throttle. Hopefully this helps

I had the same problem with mine and all I did was wind the throttle spring tighter by one turn (the one on the carb). I have no problems with it at all now.
