if not what should I pay for a used edelbrock carb? whats going rate?

IMO, for that price, you could get a used 39 FCR or a 450R carb and get better performance from either one of them.

Dude I had the Eddie carb and hated it. I would go with he fcr over the Eddie day of the week. Sure the Eddie is easy to get to as far as tuning but it was a PITA to get needles for it and it never seemed to tune right.
