I'm getting ready to change my oil in my 06 LTR for the first time since I got it about a month ago, and I was gonna just use the Suzuki oil they reccommend, but if anyone knows of something better I'd appreciate the tip. It seems like most people are using synthetic stuff.

amsoil in my buddies. Im a dealer and have used it in my 04 honda 450r since new with no problems. I was sold on it when my old man took two new idenical motor harleys about the same year with same mileage and ran them both the same speed and distance....him and my mom went for a ride.....anyways, when they stopped he checked oil temps. the harley with the harley synthetic was hotter than the amsoil. about 22 degrees hotter. To me i feel the amsoil has better lubrication properties. Ive been using it ever since in all my vehicles.

I use Amsoil also. Iam a truck driver and I pull a tanker and have delivered to both Amsoil in Superior, Wi and Royal Purple in E.Hanover, N.J. After seeing both facilities I would never buy anything from Royal Purple. That place is a dumpy hole in the wall. I have also delivered to Bel-Ray in Farmingdale, N.J. Both Amsoil and Bel-Ray have very nice CLEAN places. I've ran the Amsoil in both my street bike and quad for years and never had a failure due to oil. Hope this helps you out. This is just my two cents worth.

I also Run amsoil in my quad I had a miss hap and an oil line came disconnected from the bottom of my quad and the engine ran out of oil with out the protection of amsoil I would have not been able to just buy a few parts and be up and running. Thats just my opinoin.

I also ran AMS Oil and never had a problem but when money got tight I started running Rotella T w/ Triple Protection from Wal Mart, I have never had a problem with this oil and it works great and its only $10 for a gallon and ATP racing runs it in all their race engines also

I've been using Rotella in our 2006 LTR's and now our 2008's and no issues whatsoever.

this is one of those topics that will never end, every one has their own opinion on whats the best oil but i think every 1 will agree synthetic is the way to go

Does the Rotella have the additives in it to lube the transmission properly? I have never heard of any one running it in a quad but I would love to save the $ if it is working. I have to change oil in four quads at a time and it kills my wallet! You think I could run it in all of the quads in my sig?

Rotella has everything you need. ATP racing engines as been using it for years with no problems whatsoever. I've been using it for years myself. I will work in any wet clutch motor just fine. Run it, save money, and be happy like everyone else that has used it.
