CRF 450 Cam chain help

what all years of crf450 cam chains will work in 400ex's? i ordered an 04 thinkin it would work but someone else told me it was 02

ANY year CRF450R or CRF450X cam chain will work. They all use the same one. The 06+ TRX450R and ER also use the same cam chain.

thank you so much GPracer. I just recall reading somewhere that only 04-0X would work, and the new ones. then someone else told me only 02's were the only ones. but thanks alot.

maybe a stupid question but what is the difference between a 450r and 450er

The ER is the electric start version of the 06+ model. It doesn't seem like there are many kicker only 06+ models but they are out there.
