Ok so here's the deal, I got a friend who has a 2000 Yamaha Blaster and a couple years ago, after he got it rebuilt, I guess I heard this from him and his dad that the whole engine seized, like i heard the whole bottom end was seized and they don't know about the top end, but I haven't looked at it, but I plan to, anyway, I mentioned to them about doing the YZ250 engine swap conversion instead buying another blaster engine, and they told me that that's what they want to do. So I've been trying to do some research and i know i heard of something of someone who did the conversion to a YZ250 dirt bike engine in a blaster, and I want to know how they did it, and what all needs to be done, cause I noticed the YZ250 dirtbike engine is liquid cooled as the balster engine is not, so I know that the radiators for the yz250 engine will need to be put on, unless there is another radiator that can be used for the conversion, let me know, but I know the radiator(s) and hoses, plus the engine and the motor mounts I know of, oh and also I think the pipe, but I'm not too sure if the blaster head pipe can be used for the swap cause it won't line up, I'm not sure though, but if someone knows how to do this, please let me know, and if you have any pictures, please post them, so I can see how this was done, cause my friend is coming home from college in a couple weeks i think and i know he wants to get his blaster fixed, so he can ride it again,b ut i think he wants to do the yz250 engine conversion instead of using the blaster engine again, but someone please let me know so I can help my friend out this summer.
