ive just been sittin around with this hand injury. so wether u wana see em or not im gonna post a bunch of pics of quads ive built and me riding/racing. i started out on a stock 400ex hooked that up then a 450r and now a yfz. sorry i guess but man am i bored and i cant even work on my quad and i have evols and lsr's to put on to:( gonna be a bunch of pics

You have come along way I have to say, quads all look great over the years I like the 400 with the JRD arms the best but your yami comes in second. Call me stupid but I think I have seen an exact 450 just like yours only with red front hipers on YFZCentral.

yea thanks man i loved my 400 to just didnt have the power i needed but i wish i still had it mess around on. and about the 450r i traded it 4 the yfz from a guy on there but i got ******* on the deal it didnt have half of that stuff on it. i had to completley rebuild the motor and a bunch of other stuff. got a new front end for it ditched the elkas just waiting to put it on. then refreshen the engine a lil and shes ready to rip 4 this season.

I remember back when you still had the 400, I always loved your front end which motivated me to buy my front end basically the same thing except more expensive.
So is the 450r your practice bike or just a backup to your YFZ?

yea jrd shut down anyway and i dont have the 450r. i prefer the yfz anyway after riding both. i just love the arm pulling power of the yfz but it also has a 13.5 comp piston. TC exhaust. kand n. hotcams. ported and polioshed head. a hinson basket 9 plate clutch kit hub and plate. the 450r just had a uni and i had a couple of diffrent exausts on it but prefered the TC. But ive rode stock 450rs and yfzs and just prefer the yfz power.

JRD has been gone for for a few years I think, I've tried many of times trying to find there A-arms but got nothing, I've heard a few other people tried calling them and got nothing also so IDK.

hey JR3 that action photo from Englishtown of 04' my brother was in that race lol.. He got a picture with him in a similar spot with the Yamaha sign in back thats how I recognized it by that and the 04' date lol he was on the yellow z400 and your in the background.

just thought it was kinda funny that I'd recognize that picture based of the one that was taken of you.

yea lotta sand baggers people with quads like i have now racing c class and clearing all the jumps and stuff haha but once u go to ur first race you will be hooked

Ill have to say this is one of the coolest threads ive read in a while. I dont know about everyone else, but i always like looking back into the sport with racers from start to now. I always try to find old race coverages before the production stuff came out, i guess im just weird like that, lol.

Anyone else thinking of posting up something like this?

I know dehner47 has been through and seen alot in the sport back in the day.

yea me 2 man now im the 1 who all my friends take their quads to and get asked how to jump this or that. and get asked questions and help people its funny how it works. im about to cry haha jk. but its neat how it works.

that i have been around the block in this sport in my young life.been at this game along time.let me see if i can find some pics from the hay day of quad racing.the days of the 250r.awwww the good old days :D

and as for jrd,there shop is only like 10 minutes from my house.i actually drove by there yesterday and there was lights on,cars in the lot,and a few quads in the back.so maybe they have changed #'s or something.i'll cruz up there today or tomorrow and see whats up..

nice bike! how are you liking your arms? i have them for my yfz and keep having trouble with one of my lowers. the snaprings keep popping out. it looks like it was machined wrong.

nah i have tried new snap rings, i got it to stay in but the grooves are still machined wrong because there is play. im gonna call and see if they will give me a new arm being that it was their mistake
