Hello everyone - new to this forum, but have been doing a lot of reading through the threads, which have been very helpful. I have a 2001 400ex that i just bought that was bone stck and i am in the middle of doing some mods. Hopefully when i am finish i will post some pics. Anyways I was wondering if anybody uses or knows anybody that uses these UNI lid air filters? I do mainly trail ridding and i don't want to ride without a air box lid, but want to add some kick. How well do they work? Are they water proof? and are they equal to running without a air box lid? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I've never used them, but you may also consider a lid from EHS (Outerwears lid) It's what I have on mine and I love it. It's also water resistant.

There's also a thread (sorry, dont have a link for it) on how to make your own (cheaper) w/ the EHS cover and your existing airbox.

A bunch of little filters isn't going to do much just buy the EHS lid.

Thanks for the help. The EHS lid does look a lot better. I'll probably just do the kit and save some money. Do you guys know how you clean them and how often?
Thanks again.

I just use dish soap and a brush.

Does the EHS kit come with the snorkel block off?

No, it doesn't. It's made by Nac's Racing.
