I work for a Can-Am dealer out of New Jersey and im racing the agp series and some of the pa series and before my quad overheats I wanna try to get the fins all the racers are using. Who is making the metal fins and where can I get them?

Can't you get the plastic shroud the factory teams are using through your dealership? I beleive they are supposed to be availiable through the CanAm Racer program or something like that.

Here's a pic of the factory shroud I stole from another thread.

hello all. Johnny with motoworks. This picture is a stock shroud that is yellow. We are using some prototype shrouds that we get from Can Am. I believe that it is a part you can order from Can Am directly. in most situations the stock shrouds have worked the best for us. We just need to protect the front end in extreme mud conditions.

I was just talking to John about the shrouds and where to get them. I work for a can-am dealer and I havent heard of anything. I wanna figure out where to get the scoops to help push more air through the radiator.

I was refering to the black shroud/scoop on the outer edges. I thought this was the factory prototype. But you guys certianly know a lot more than I could ever hope to know. ;)

Here's a closeup for comparison so you can see what I was talking about. Left has scoop/shroud. Right does not (stock setup). With the closeup, it appears that those may be custom fab aluminum scoops?

The BRP fins are different than those. They have a piece that covers the whole front of the radiator.

Sorry,
I didn't see those. Those scoops were ones we made at the race shop trying different things. We only made 3 sets.

No worries. Black on black. Hard to see, even in the blown up photo. ;)
They do look sexy though, I must say. :)

Oh, and I appologize for derailing the topic a bit. Oops. ;)

I have seen white fins/scoops on some of the factory bikes. They look almost like what you see on the stock Honda 450R. Where did they get those? Anyone else know what I am talking about or seen them? I have also seen some that are black, but they are vertical, not horizontal. Looks like they would rush more air in and threw the radiator.

I wonder: Can Joe Public get some of those? Or, are they just for the factory race teams...

I am not sure if the public can get them. However we do not run them at every race. They actually restrict the air a lot. We only use them in extremely muddy conditions. We have gotten results that are equally good with some good old chicken wire and duct tape on the front. Thanks, Motoworks

I know this is an old topic but can someone please point me in the direction of these aluminum fins?

Like we said, those were made by the Can-Am race department. You can't get them.

Check out Can Am's website. They have this new guard. No idea if it works, but check it out.

The one Pun'k is talking about are not the fins you are looking for.

You can get parts (like the fins) from BRP race department

Go to your dealer and ask them to call the race department at Valcourt.
