Throw it in a cooler and send it to Toby at Moto-Xperts. He'll take care of you and will match servicehonda prices on everthing, plus make it MEAN. Just got mine back and its terrifying fast.

I'm pretty sure if the rod came through the cases he already needs a whole new bottom end :P

Took me 2hrs to take the engine out. New cases, crank, piston, rings and what ever else it takes to fix. Its only a couple bucks to fix. lol This ***** is gonna rip when I am done!

Thats horrible. The worst ive had similiar to this is the case by the kick starter cracked completely off but a nice weld fixed it right up.I dont think you can get that welded but you never know??

Man i hate to see that. I hate when those unexpected chunks of money have to be spent lol.................if that was mine i would pull the head off of it and throw it in the scrap pile i wouldnt even mess it trying to take it apart lol

Mine will be rebuilt for around $800 includnig a baldwin piston, brand new OEM Honda crank/rod setup.

I would like to note this is the second time I've had motor damage. Mine was caused from the piston falling apart, NOT the crank bearings. Crank bearings was the last time, and my motor that just recently blew is using the updated crank with the crank bearing collar kit. By bearings are still technically good.

What was ur conclusion on ur failure? You think the wrist pin blew out like most people were saying or the skirt ripped off the piston?

I was under the impression that a circlip came out and the wristpin walked out one way.

So what exactly are you going to do to this thing??????????????

My guess is that the rod snapped (same thing as 400exrider707). The wristpin is still probably in the rod end sitting on top of the crank.

Yikes!

Good luck with the build.
