well i took me about 3 hours to made em and the brakets. it cost me about 10 bucks to do all of it but man it wasnt easy. i want to thank Tinner for the bottom braket idea. le tme know what yall think. sorry about the pic. i'll try to take another tonight.

well thanks for all the nice words! i made em outta 2 6x18 sheets of 1/16 aluminum for the body and cut 4 2 1/2 pieces of 3/4 1/4 thick aluminum bar fo rthe brackets. all the tools i used were tin snips, sheet bender, vise, drill, and good ol hammer!! heres a close up of em.i think i might make me a few more to sell. but they take alot of time to make. how would 40 bucks sound for a pair of em do yall think thats fair?

yeah i think 40 bucks sounds reasonable. i don't know what tinner sells his for, but i don't think he makes them for 300ex/250x. i wish i had some money and i would take some. but maybe when i get some money i might want a pair.

yea 250xman that is the end cap that came with it, it's big. it's the 3 inch one. and thanks. i think your scoops look pretty nice too. but polish em up!! they'll look twice as good.

ang that is a big one. imne came with a 2 inch. i thought about polishing the scoops and i probably will when i make them for people.

it kinda looks like they are in just the right place to be useless(no flame) but isnt the whole point to divert more air to the head fins, and it looks like it is just right below the fins, but it may just be the angle of the pic.:confused:

its just the angle of the pic. the scoops are also angled upward for the air to hit the fins at the same slope thet they are.

That looks worse than my camera!!! See my Tinner scoops!!! But they are at the powdercoating shop now getting red with sparkles put on them,,,those darn things DO NOT want to polish up for some reason,,,There has been a LOT of shiny added since that pic:D

I'm suprised to hear you aren't getting a polish out of them. I have polished mine up and I could see my face in them....not like a mirror, but a nice shine.

Yeah I got mine the same way, you could see yourself in them but not like a mirror, and when the sun was on them you could still see the scratches in them, I dont know why I couldnt get them right like everything else, I hope they look ok Powdercoated!!!
