This is a project I am doing over the winter to my moto440. It sits a little too high to suit me for MX racing. What are some good mods to lower it as much as possible for mx racing? Swingarm, a-arms, shocks?? whats would be best? if anyone has any pictures of lowered c-dales, it would be great. Please give me your opinions. thanks.

A set of Elka shocks with the SSD would be a good start.

The Houser's do they make them in just +2's or are they long travel +2's:confused: I have seen a few posts about only getting long travel and i just got my elkas and now i am thinking about A-arm's maybe i did this backwards I hope not

if your going to put new a arms and shocks on it, you should either get Walsh or Laeger T-Pin with some PEP ZPS or Axis 19" shocks. that would be nice.

what i did with my 300ex was new+2 a-arms +2 durablue axle 400exswingarm(no added inches just a new swing arm) but then i got my front works and rear PEP that the best i say u can go bcause 400ex stock shocks r pretty good:D p.s why drop it if ur doing MX

Do they actually make +2's for a Moto? I think they're just stock width, but with a "better" name.

As for lowering it, shocks are the only way to do it really. Ohlins that come stock on the Moto have a ZPS type device, but are not true ZPS. Elka's are a good choice, as are all other name brand or zero preload shocks. Good luck.

We have an Elka SSD conversion using your stock Ohlins that will drop your Moto down around 2" Rowlrag and I have been using this mod on our Blaze's since this summer and it works much better than stock. This is a great option if you can't afford aftermarket shocks!
