which is better a turbocharger or a supercharger? what is the difference and can you do both of them?

depends on what your doing. Superchargers take power to make power and it has i bigger increase than a turbo or procharger. Turbos are free HP its not taking nay power to make power. You generally have better gas milage because your not running full boost 24/7 like a supercharger.

What kind of engine are you talking about? What would it be used for? Superchargers are more reilable. Yes you lose some power spinning it from the crank, you have instant boost throughout the rev range. Turbo's use so called "free" power, but it's from you exhaust gas. Yes, you have power, but it's not instant.

Take it for what it's worth.

yeah my friend has a 4 cylinder supercharged engine but it doesnt put out much HP IMO you turbo 4 cylinders and v6's. V8 supercharge, v10 supercharge, v12 turbo. IDK why but thats how I look at motors an how they should be done.
