Scott,

Not sure what is wrong with our phone system. Trying to figure it out. Some calls are going through just fine and other people are getting a busy signal and not getting our message system. Feel free to email us at sales @ epicracingproducts.com.

You can use a normally open ProArmour or Pro Design kill switch and hook it up to the black wire and the black/white wire on the key switch.

Thanks

The wire to hook up the teather up on the ds450 is the black and white wire?

You hook the the tether up to the black wire and black wire with white stripe. But you don't cut them and tie them together, you peel back the rubber and direct connect them. I had mine saudered together.

How does hooking it up to 2 wires work? You normally just cut 1 wire and put the teather in where you cut it. Where do them wires go?

that is because it is a normally open (NO) design compared to a normally closed (NC) design. when the tether is pulled, it should cause a short between the 2 wires compared to a normally closed design which would open the path of the 1 wire that was spliced.

if your still stuck, just google "normally open switch" or "normally closed switch"
that will give a lot more detail about basic electrical switch operation and connections

The way the kill switch works on the DS is by shorting the two wires. The ECU actually stopd the motor electronically. When you turn off the key switch it closes the circuit between the Black and the Black/White. The prodesign switch does the same thing. When you install the tether cord and pull it, there will be a slight delay before the engine dies.

Where exactly do you find the black and black/white wire you guys are referring to? Thanks

They are the wires that go into the ignition for the key.
