Hey guys, I had my nephews Pred 90 out last Sunday & my neighbor started *****in the quad was too loud. He threatened to call the cops if I didnt shut it down. I was ripping up & down my PRIVATE road, so he actually cant say anything anyway. -lol The guy was a total *********! I have a stock Hetrick pipe on it, but I wanna quiet it down a bit, it's actually too loud for us. Any suggestions? Can we use a muffler from something else & weld it on? Has anyone else complained it being too loud, or am I the 1st one?

Are you planning on racing? I would think you could find a cheap "slip on" silencer/spark arrestor on ebay... just needs to have the correct size inlet pipe, so you could cut your pipe off and "slip" it on. It will affect the power and jetting some i would bet. I know WRH has built a few quiter pipes also. Try Billy Holt at WRH Racing.

Those people with the slip on silencers with the disc's, used to cut noise, make one the proper diameter but, they are spendy.

Supertrapp is the name I was thinking of.

But also you could go to the wrecker yard and find a old 2 stroke exhaust off of a Yamaha 100 enduro or something and have a spark arrestor too.
