trail blazer transmission need help

i need to know if anyone knows anything about the shift pin in the polaris trail blazer 2000. it is the pin that comes out of the transmission and is the only thing that shifts the bike between forward reverse and neutral. the shift pin and the bell crank on mine stripped out so i need to replace them. i would like to know the easiest way to change the pin. do i have to take the whole transmission apart or what someone help please.
