stock 450R wheels PC'd?

what is needed to PC stock wheels black?? do they stocks need to be sand blasted or will the PC stick to the original finish?

If you want it to hold up they will need to be media prepped or at a minium sanded with 320 grit and phosphate coated

I use it for both being that they are aluminum, but if you blast them you should be ok.

so would I just blast them to a dull finish to ensure the previous finish is gone?

if they are powdercoated now, you wont blast it off unless its a really crappy job.

if they are spray bombed it will usually come off fairly easily

if they are just bare alimunim, the media prep will removed dirt and debris and get the surface ready for paint or pc.

i usually wash and then phosphate to assure a good bond as aluminum oxidizes very fast and can lift the coating (lets face it, the life span of atv rims doesnt really require the extra step but for me its more then just that)
