i dont think anyone does but i think im just going to cut my stock grab bar off and weld some 450r grab bars mounts on it so i can just use a aftermarket 450 grab bar.

Most ALL the major players in the A/M Parts biz make a bar.
Some with cooler rack, some with gas can rack, some with both...

just do a ebay search for 400ex rack, and you'll get plenty of hits.
but remember that '99-05's have the rear grab bar intregral to the subframe.
(i.e., it can not be removed from the subframe without cutting)

not sure if that holds true for '06's and up...

I think there is an aftermarket kit for converting a 400ex to mount a 250r grab bar. but you have to cut off the grab bar because it is part of the rear subframe. the kit has two plates that need to be welded on to the sides of the sub frame. I had someone do mine when i had it powder coated. only thing is the wiring harness for the tail light is too short and needs to be rewired. if you go with the 250r grab bar then the tail light will mount on. I have a 2003 400ex.

thanks
that looks just like mine. I gave my sub frame to John Arens and he modified it for me. Its nice to be able to replace the grab bar. I go cheap because I seem to take one out every year. Let the grab bar bend and save the sub frame. :D

PRM makes this bar in a semi universal fit. It fits outside the stock bar and attaches with small u-bolts. Didn't like it at first, but it has proven itself in race conditions. Had a utility quad repeatedly ram me and the bar has held up great. I will post a pic tomorrow without the seat so you can see the attachment.
