Finally some progress has begun. I got my motor back this past monday but haven't got a chance to start on it due to work. We got as far as we could but need a new stud for the exhaust to mount up to the motor because it cracked, a new chain, a 155 main jet for the carb, and a new light switch. Here is what we got done so far :D

Yes I was the one that hit the truck back in September. I did infact get some motor work back. I thought there was a 440 kit in it but wasn't sure. Turns out it was only bored to a 408CC. I got a JE 416 kit put into it with a hotcam stage 2 and new valves.

I am still waiting on some little stuff. Since my birthday was the 2nd of this month my dad decided he would pay half for brand new flexx bars!! All I am waiting for now is a 155 main jet, my flexx bars, oversized clamps and we are pretty much ready to roll.

Today I decided to throw my front tires on and put the stock handlebars on and noticed that the steering stem felt really lose even though it is tight as it can get?!

Here's a video if you can even tell. It's where the bushing is at the top of the stem

I would say the bearing and seal that are in the frame at the bottom of the steering stem are shot. If you leave it that way, expect a lot of fatigue. I couldn't believe how much having that slack made my arms pump up.

it has all new bearing and seals. That is NOT the answer. my guess is the bearing isn't pushed down enough in or something.
