Here's a few action photo's of the long travel Suspension that Dave Carter of D.C. Motorsports fabricated for my sons Outlaw 90. It corners real nice and soaks up whatever jump he hits. For those of you that have the Outlaw 90 and want some performance and safety this was money well spent.

Looks good. What did that front end set up cost, what have you done to the motor? Ive got my daughters torn down now for some carb work but Im thinking of using a Dial-a-jet on it.

i have mailed them and ask now.
but i seams that they have parts for pitbikes and monkeybiks.
i try a cdi unit from a crf 50 on a predator 50 4-stroke and the fuse broke at once:(

Jupp thats the problem when you have to do the R n D your self instead of plug and play, but i know a guy on this forum used one of these cdis on a Kawi 50cc quad.

Its funny how they can be out of stock for so long, but you may also try Lakesmotorsports, but chances are that they get their cdis from the same suplyer.

Im not sure what type of ignition system you running, but this is what I used on my son's KFX50 4-STROKE. Its from OORacing and its only a four pin cdi box(4-wires total). They also have a 4 pin cdi for a KSR on there also for alot more.

Thats the spitting image of a KFX50/90 cdi box(Honda style). I know from my own R&D that they are also wired differently between the KFX50 and the 90. Now, I do have a friend that has a Outlaw90 MXR. We are going to race next week together. Ill take a peek at his cdi box and map out the wires. Then I could probably figure it out for you guys.:D

it would be great if you can look at a race outlaw 90, it looks the same as the one to can am but it probebly dont work on the outlaw.
it is the same plug and numbers of wires as the honda crf 50 but i try one on a predator 50 4-stroke and the fuse went off.

i now use a mikuni 24mm carb so the power is good but it hits the revlimit in no time.
here is a clip of my son trying the first time with the 24mm carb,
you can here in the beginning that he goes on the revstop.

thanks for helping me out//jesper

How any wires does it have? Is your cdi powered by your battery?

swepred

there is 6 wires 2 + 4 and i dont know if it is powered from the battery.
easy to check, see if there is power on one of the wires when ignition is on.
i will check that.

here is a pic on the cdi and the wires.

i dont think that the battery comes into play, I have removed the battery from my sons Outlaw 90

These aftermarket CDI's for the Outlaw and CAN AM 90 which share the same AEON motor have been advertised for quite some time, has anyone purchased one?

that looks like the same type that was on my son's kymco.... you can use a 400ex cdi if it is the same

so you can get them to work with you..... i ran ohlins on my old 400ex race quads... we have an ohlins office here in NC about 45 mins away... i have emailed on top of emails and never got anything from them... so i gave up..

Yea, I don't think that will work for yea. Our cdi is a DC-CDI. Not an AC. Our original cdi only had 4 wires hooked up to that 6 pin cdi box. Black yellow= coil , green = ground , black=12vdc , and black and yellow = stator. Im sure if you can figure where all your wires are running, then you can compare that to other models, like the 400EX that runs off AC. Hell, it might wire up like the Kymco 50/90 2-stroke like ww228king did!
