Ti is way to expensive. with the way prices have gone up on Materials its gonna cost you way more than its worth. Your probably looking at about 15K to build a Ti bike. And you cant just go out and Pay someone to build the parts. If you want it to be done right go with Lone Star. They have Built a good amount of Ti bikes and know what they are doing.

80LBS SAVINGS! THATS IT DANG! TITANIUM HALF THE WEIGHT OF STEEL RIGHT? ONLY 80LBS SAVINGS. WELL 80LBS IS ALOT BUT 4 A MILLION BUCKS NOT SURE.:scary:
Groves187

My numbers are not right on. It would be more. But you can ask just about anyone. The Ti just isn't worth what you have to pay for it.

well to just do my bike full lonestar (not Ti) was around 5k. To build my whole bike to how I wanted it im sitting at 23k and thats including purchase price. so I actually have 16k invested into my bike and still not how I want it (still need my motor done and Hiper Rims). Now to put it into perspective for Frame, A-Arms, Subframe and Swinger all done in Ti will easily put you at about 15k just for everythign to make a rolling chassis. My bike has zero Ti and it weighs 339.2 lbs wet. I had it weighed at a weigh station. It will prolly drop another 5-10 lbs when I put on the Hipers. this is direct from honda specs for an 07 "Dry Weight 363.0 pounds (Electric Start)/357.0 pounds (Kick Start)" So if you want to lose weight just eliminate all the stupid crap you dont need and trust me there is quite a bit.

You spent 16 grand in parts and you dont have a built motor? Did you get any lube when you bought all those parts? I hope you have a LSR frame too with spending 5 grand there. Any pics of your bike?
Oh ya when you put the hipers on you are going to gain weight. Hiper= more weight than Aluminum beadlocks.

Well i was always told Hipers drop weight but oh well not a big deal. Nope dont got no lube but I do have a spare motor and a taper bored fcr ready for when i do get my head done and the stroker crank which is less than a grand but done currently have a grand. And dude, your looking at over 40k in bikes in this pic. When i build a bike i build it right thats why im on here is to ask questions so i dont screw up. and if 16k is how much it cost to build a bike right then ill do it. And PS. PRO dirtbikes if not mistaken have over 50k in forks alone. Theres a thread somewhere about it on here so just search it.

and yeah i agree with that statment, i will never drop that much into a bike again. But i had the oppurtunity to do it so i did it. And im not very impressed. So im gonna get the motor done and my hipers and untill I blow it up i wont spend another penny on it other than normal maintenance.

That bike was built and owned by Lonestar racing, everything is Ti down to the fasteners. If your really looking to build one give lonestar a call.. I know walsh does some stuff in Ti as well but either way its gonna be pricey.

The bike in the pic is 300lbs wet and ready to ride, a frame and sub frame is going to cost you 12K from LSR. If you really have to have a Ti Bike, buy the bike in the pic above it is for sale for 18K its all brand new. The only thing on it thats not Ti is the Swinger and Steering stem. Its like that for a reason. That would be the way to go. It will save you so much time and money.

I have to back up bloodmoney here... he's spent a lot of time building his bike up, I remember when he first joined. It's something he can be proud of. He's paid nearly full price for everything from what I can tell and he DOES ride the thing! Nice looking bikes bloodmoney.
That Lonestar CRF bike weighs about 320lbs actually, and it's not real carbon fiber plastic, just the fake looking stuff. Kind of cheesy looking if you ask me. The Ti part of it is sweet though. There is a reason the Ti doesn't sell. One it's expensive. Two I believe Walsh dropped it on their arms because they couldn't get it consistent and had troubles with the arms deforming if I remember correctly.

im not saying there not nice bikes but for the price i could have built him a honda that would have out performed either of those quads and he would have money to spare. but they are nice bikes. is that fullboar plastic or maier? if the rear is aftermarket, i would like to know does the piece that connects the stock plastics behind the tank come apart like the stock does? thats the only thing that has ever stopped me from buying anything but stock plastics

You can build a nice quad and keep it looking good while riding it. I built one of the cleanest 450r's you'll find and its been through four mud bog GNCC's and still looks pretty darn good, why, hard work to clean it!

Who cares, and how on earth can you say it would outperform his... do you know what he has done? It's a nice bike and we'll just leave it at that. I know plenty of people who spend way to much on stuff that isn't worth what they spend. Not your money so who cares.

as i see this douchebags still being a douchebag.....sorry i buy direct from companies that make the parts and dont think anything is from tucker or parts unlimited. I still dont see a pic of your bike so quit talking ****. Like i said previously those who talk the **** are the jealous ones and thanks for backing me up 400. Well anyway, heres my tucker rocky/parts unlimited trailer queen AGAIN. I sprayed it with water and dug a hole in my backyard and just threw the mud on it. And hey Infamous, 1. wheres the pic of your bike? 2. If you think all I have done is whats in my sig then your funny 3. And to answer the question, they are Maier fronts with stock rears. Aftermarkets are all pretty much the same so unless you are changing colors its not really worth it. On the YFZ though, that is full fullbore plastics and my bro hates them.
