What swingarms will fit?

So my pivot bearings are stuck in the swingarm and I'm completely tired of messing with it. I beat it from the opposite side until there was no lip left to beat, then I had to start beating on it from the wrong side in an attempt to destroy the outer race entirely, which has not only scarred up the inside of the pivot area but I've apparently hit it too hard and now there is a crack that would have to be repaired.

I'm tired of it, and I can't wait to set it up in the backyard and shoot at it.

So now I need a new swingarm. I have about 300 bucks to spend and I want an aftermarket one. I know I can get a good used aftermarket one for that, but my question is what will fit the 88 frame? Will 86-87 style fit? Will a 450R fit?

It says in the compatibility chart that they will but I'm weary. Especially on the 450R one. Do you use the 250R link or the 450 one? What about the brake stay? Does the 250 carrier fit the 450 swinger?

yes the 86-87 style will fit just fine. I have an 88-89 laeger on my 86

Yes you can run the 450r swinger,im running the entire 450r rear on my 86r frame.Im using the 06 450r set up as its almost a inch longer than the 04 and 05.Im using the linkage as well.
