got my 440 back together today, wouldnt run right, so i took carb apart and found that the jet had fallen out..., but the just wanted to know if anyone knew wether the valves being a little loose would cause any damage, i know if there tight that they will bend, but there a little off specs i figured they would tighten up them selves. but does anyone know wether that can cause any serious damage before i take the tank and stuff off again?

there rather loud...

Which jet fell out, the main? I've had the main fall out before, didn't cause any damage.

If the valves are loose it won't cause any acute damage. The top end will be noisier and the motor might have more trouble starting than normal. It's good practice to check your valve clearances and adjust as necessary every so often. Since you said the valves are loud, I would check and verify the clearances.

It's .004" on the intake side and .005" on the exhaust side if you didn't already know ;)
