Need answer fast

What size are the stock head studs top and bottom? 12mm? On both ends?

Sorry man, I tried to find it my service manual, but it gives me a description of every bolt and nut but those, unless I'm looking in the wrong spot, but I checked 2 different sections of the book.

They are 10mm diameter threads. Both ends.

Humm thats strang mine like 10mm on top and 12-13mm on the bottom. It keeps blowing gaskits!

Hey I finally found it in my book, GP was right, 10 MM top and bottom. Do your studs look stock? A previous owner may have stripped them out and had to use a tap to go 1 size up???? Just a guess.

they look stock and it not pulled out. the side it leaks on the stud the screwd all the way down is a little short (not much) 49.5mm the manual says it should be but its a little shorter than that and it leaks and yes I torque is 33lb

Is the head warped? The diameter of the studs is pretty much irrelevant if you are dealing with a leak, as long as the thread in and you are able to torque it down properly and it holds, you should be in business. I would check to see if your head is warped.

I'm kind of new to the quad thing, so someone else may have better info for you, I'm just going off of years of car/jeep building.
