off of his suzuki eiger and picked up a raptor, here's my dads new quad

It has...
Full HMF
I'm pretty sure gytr nerfs, bumper, and grab bar?
Wheel spacers in the rear
Base coat/clear coated frame

It has maybe 15 hours and picked it up for 2500 :)

So clean you can eat off of it

Looks great!

I am always amazed how quickly people think they want to ride, shell out $7k, and then never ride. How do you go from a $7k desire down to...yea, I just let it sit for a few years then sell it?

Great find though. I had a 2001 that always had minor stuff breaking on it but I will say it is the most fun I ever had in the trails on a quad. A Raptor will walk all over my 400ex in hillclimbing.

Nice! That beast is clean!
Kinda makes me miss my old Raptor. I sold it almost 2 years ago. Every now and then I wish I still had it for trail riding. Eventually I'd like to get a 700.

Now the old man can keep up with ya!

me too and especially for that price!!!

I am hoping to build up my wife's 2008 450r to be a mean trail machine. So far, I sent her shocks off for a conversion and revalve, dropped to a 13 tooth front and up to a 39 on rear, getting a sprocket protector and scaled down version of a skidplate to protect the brake rotor, a Rath steering stem and flexx bars, and Pro Armor Propegs and nerfs. I doubt I will put Hiper wheels on it...she isn't that rough on the aluminum wheels. Soon, I will get the HRC kit too. If I like all of this, then I might get a 450r...otherwise, a Raptor could be in my future. I really miss the fun factor when trail riding. The 400ex is nice and reliable but I do miss the snap of that throttle.

What year is this Raptor?

sweet. By then, the tranny issue was fixed along with the rear axle and axle nut issue.

My only advice is to be very careful if you ever decide to split those cards apart to work on them. Make sure you take pictures and really good notes as you go along. I learned the hard way...ended up with one small part that I couldn't figure out where it came from. :eek2:
