View Full Version : How do i get a 400 into reverse?

My friend just got a 2001 400ex and he doesnt know much about it, so i wanna confuse him and drive it around in reverse. Also it will help me when im riding his. So what do you have to do to put it into reverse? I've heard you turn a knob and shift into first? Any help would be great! Thanks.

2001 400ex doesn't have reverse

i beleive reverse came on the 400's in 05, the 01 doesnt have them....

Lol, my bad. I saw a 400ex reverse mod forum so i thought it did, not my quad so whatever.

On yours, you are reverse. lol The reverse mod is to be able to start the quad in reverse, I do believe. :D

Get off, get in front of quad, grab handlebars and push........Reverse>>>>:D

sit on the quad, put your legs out and feet on the backs of the front tires, and push down repeatedly. There's your reverse.

ya my 01' 300ex has revers and the pushing is alot easyier then actualy using it...ugh...lol honda messed up on 300ex revers set up.

drive up a small hill or incline, pull clutch in and look back to steer, theres your reverse.
